You can send us the pictures, floor plans with your own measurements, plans by other architects or plans sent by a real estate agent.
In case you want to take your own measurements, we have prepared a complete guide for you!
Where to start?
Before starting the Measurement Guide for your NUDE project, we advise you to have someone around to help with the measurement.
You will need a floor plan for each room that is being measured.
What will you need:
- Measuring tape
- Squared paper (You can download our model below) or plain paper
- Pencil
- Rubber
- Photo camera / cell phone
How to start your measurement:
Step 1. At the top of the sheet, add the name of the room. This name should describe the purpose of using the environment (for example, dining room, games room, etc.).
Step 2. Draw the general shape of the room from a panoramic view.
Tip: Sometimes it is necessary to make more than one floor plan for the same room, so that the information is clear.
For example: You can make a floor plan with only the measurements, another with information on the height of windows and doors and a third with information on furniture and infrastructure (power sockets and water and waste points).
Step 3. Measure the overall length of the room, the width, the height of the ceiling and mark on your paper.

Tip: The best way to take measurements without losing anything is to measure in order to circumvent the entire room, in an orderly manner:

Step 4. Draw any doors, windows or openings that exist in the room
Step 5. Measure the doors, windows or openings and mark accordingly
Note: Measure outside the frame

Step 6. Note the additional measures (For example: From wall to window, walls between windows, etc.

Step 7. Add the heights of the windows and doors:

Step 8. Add any other details, such as fireplaces, columns and equipment that are fixed objects and will not or cannot be moved.
Step 9. Pictures: Pictures are one of the most important survey steps, as they are a visual record of how is the existing room. Take as many pictures as you can! The best way to take pictures of rooms is to position yourself in each corner of the room, as shown in the image below:

Step 10. The furniture you want to keep: It is important that you send us measurements and photos of the furniture that you already have and would like to re-use in your home transformation.
After sending the following items:
- Floor plan with measures
- Pictures
- List of existing furniture
We will start designing your project and prepare for our call to design with you via screen sharing.
REMEMBER: YOU WILL NEVER BE SENDING TOO MUCH INFORMATION!
We hope that our measurement guide was useful!
